2011/2012 Holiday Tree Disposal

Recology Auburn Placer wishes you the happiest of Holiday Seasons!

You may dispose of your holiday tree at the following locations and dates:

RocklinTwin Oaks Park & Johnson Springview Park
December 26 through January 9
LoomisDel Oro High School (lot off Boyington)
December 31, January 1 and January 7 & 8
Granite BayMiners Ravine Park
January 9
City of
Colfax Only
Curbside pickup on the day of your regular service from December 26 through January 31.
Trees must be cut up into 4 foot or less lengths.
Auburn Transfer StationTrees can be dropped off at the Auburn Transfer Station from December 26 through January 21.


All trees must have all tinsel, lights, ornaments and stands removed prior to disposal. Flocked trees will not be accepted.

If you have a green waste container, trees can be cut up and placed inside the container. The lid must close over the tree in order for it to be accepted.

Recology Auburn Placer provides residential and commercial garbage service, debris box service and recycling to residents and businesses in the cities of Rocklin, Auburn, Town of Loomis and in Unincorporated Placer County. The company processes more than 100,000 tons of garbage and recyclable material annually. Recology Auburn Placer also offers spring clean-up day for residents, and provides commercial cardboard recycling and newspaper drop-off.

Recology Auburn Placer office, maintenance shop, transfer station and recycling buyback center are located in Auburn. The company also operates two other transfer stations in Placer County and is responsible for the post-closure of the closed Auburn landfill.
